Last weekend I finished in second place at the "I survived the end of the World" 4 mile race in Concord, NH. I didn't realize at the time that was the 200th time I finished in 2nd place in a race (it was also the 700th time I finished in the top 3). A dubious distinction? I've been told that second place is a nice way of saying "first loser" :-)
Here is the breakdown of the 1,224 races I've run.

That's a lot of races! Any idea your percentage of racing miles over total miles run? 10?
I keep track of everything :-) Just over 6% of mileage raced. Over 118,000 miles and over 7,000 raced. I love tracking numbers!
Cool! Guess you'd need to start doing hundred milers to get to 10%. ;)
Fact check.org has you at 6 races over 91st place.
3/12/2000 - Mass Law Enforcement Half Marathon - 118th place - 'Ran with Petey and Mark B as workout'
8/05/2000 - Beach to Beacon 10k - 163rd place
4/26/2005 - Merrimack River Trail Race - 145th place 'Started 2:03:00 late'
3/16/2008 - New Bedford Half Marathon - 279th place
3/15/2009 - New Bedford Half Marathon - 108th place - 'Ran with Al the entire way, great conditions.'
5/22/2010 - Northfield Mountain - 264th
I'm assuming you are not counting Northfield and Merrimack as you obviously ran those before or after the fact (as RD)...
Did I get these right? These are just off the top of my head ;).
