As I ponder my three hours of biking and rowing today, I look back at a much more fun 3+ hours of working out.
25 years ago today – On January 14, 1990 I hosted a 30 mile run from Londonderry. Seven others joined up with me with most going 20.7 miles. GLRR teammates Jeff Haas and Dave Camire (I think) continued on with me for the entire distance. On this 11 degree day with wind chills dipping below zero we covered 30 miles in 3:28:54 with 10 mile splits of: 70:50, 69:00, 69:04 and passing through the marathon in 3:02:53.
Ah, the good old days!
