A quarter century - Seems like yesterday

25 years ago today – I ran the New Bedford half-marathon on this day along with 1800 of my closest friends.  This was back in the day when NB had a large prize purse and attracted some of the top runners in the country.  It was also the New England TAC championships (later to become USATF NE).  I felt I had a decent race, passing through 10 miles in 49:35 and crossing the finish in 1:05:27, just a step under 5 minute pace.  That was good enough for 18th place.  I noted that it was 45 degrees and windy and that I was “wiped out” after the race.  Brian Sherriff took the win in 1:02:25.
