Looking back - High School XC

35 years ago today (09/76/1980) – I lost my only dual meet of my junior year at Billerica High School.  Tom Chamberas of Chelmsford beat me on his home course running a 15:08 to my 15:12.  Tom and I became good friends two years later when we were teammates at the University of Lowell.  Tom was always a lot of fun to race with, travel with and train with.  He was a very upbeat guy and could always be counted on to lighten the mood during a long training run.  He is missed.
