East End Club
Very old Course
record - I set the (still standing)
course record at the East End Club 5 mile of 24:26 back in 1984. I came close
to that time two other times (24:34 in 1987 and 24:30 in 1992). My four wins
got me $200 (total). Back in the 80’s this race attracted 600-900 finishers.

cracking 25 minutes over this classic Lowell race. Ruben’s time is the fastest
run in the last 20+ years (the race was not held from 2008-2011).
