Sept 13, 1987

30 years ago today Bob Hodge and I had a solid run at the USATF NE (then TAC) Grand Prix 5km championships.  We ran together through 2 miles in 9:06 and then I was able to pull away for the win.  Our times remain the 2nd and 3rd fastest ever run (in a flat) USATF NE GP road champs 5k.

I'm racing this weekend at the Championships (CVS Providence) and a good race for me will be running a bit more than a minute a mile slower than I did in 1987 (but it'll hurt just as much).
