Only my 6^th ever DNF but never easy to take

10/05/79              Billerica, MA       Vs. Tewksbury XC - Twisted ankle after 2m in 11:00

10/13/79              Boston, MA        Catholic Memorial XC – Badly sprained ankle on downhill

05/28/83              Cape Giradeau, MO  NCAA championships 5,000 meters – Heat exhaustion at 2.25 miles

08/26/01              Cleder, France   100k World championships – Out at 67k with dehydration                           

06/21/02              Torhout, Belgium 100k World Challenge - Out at 60k with dehydration

10/02/11              Harvard, MA      Harvard Apple ramble 10 mile - Pulled calf muscle at just before 3m in 2^nd place.

07/11/22              Lincoln, NH         Loon mountain race        -  Turning for the first big climb at 3.7 miles, caught my toe in a pothole, popped calf muscle and down to the ground.
