Note that you are not really voting for the series you are just giving the “committee” an idea of what races people would like to do, they will decide what the Grand Prix will be. This is laughable “AFTER VOTING, A COMMITTEE OF CLUBS WILL MEET ON DECEMBER 7 TO FINALIZE THE SCHEDULE TO ASSURE A SERIES WITH BALANCED DATES AND LOCATIONS”. They should skip the “voting” and just select a series and cut out the lip service. I’ll be very interested in what a “balanced dates and locations” looks like! Don’t fall into the trap of only looking at prize money. Very few see any of the prize money. A lower ENTRY FEE makes more sense for clubs who aren’t going to win any cash (which typically goes to the top 3 teams and the top age group team).
Anyway, if you are going to vote you should at least take a look at each of the races. Unfortunately USATF NE did not provide links on the comparison sheet so I’ve provided them below along with a couple of notes. Everyone will have conflicts with other races (unless you ONLY run the 7 GP races) so noting potential conflicts is a waste of time.
Beware of the USATF planning calendar, much on it is incorrect!
5km
Sacuest Point 5k: http://www.trimomprod.com/races/sachuest-point-half-marathon/
Second year? Not much info on the site, no previous results, multiple races on the same morning (seems like the focus is the half marathon).

10mile/15km
Amherst: https://amherst10miler.com/
Many time USATF NE championship, sketchy weather a possibility (check out the snowy pics on the website!), also sketchy dirt road section of the course that always has bad footing. Awful 11:00am starting time.
NH 10 mile: http://www.millenniumrunning.com/newhampshire10
USATF NE championship in 2016, well managed (Millennium) plenty of aid stations, “rolling” course. Could be hot!
Boston Tune-up 15k: http://www.tri-valleyfrontrunners.com/tuneup/tune-up.php
37th annual. Where the heck is Upton? J Rolling course but pretty fast CR’s Casey Moulton 47:34 (5:07 pace) & Steph Reilly 54:21 (5:51 pace)
Half Marathon
New Bedford: http://newbedfordhalfmarathon.com/
40th annual, many time USATF NE champs. Closed course, well managed. Worst post-race food ever (fish!)
Middlebury Maple run: http://middleburymaplerun.com/
Totally the opposite of a “city” race. Great country roads, but also very well managed. Picture the Stowe 8 mile (but longer).
Ocean’s run: http://www.trimomprod.com/races/oceans-run/
10th annual, 8:15am start time?
Sachuest point: http://www.trimomprod.com/races/sachuest-point-half-marathon/
Whenever I see “first annual” the warning flags go up! Maybe they will do a great job, but I always worry that they don’t know what they don’t know.
Marathon
Ocean’s run: http://www.trimomprod.com/races/oceans-run/
Whenever I see “first annual” the warning flags go up! Maybe they will do a great job, but I always worry that they don’t know what they don’t know, they have put the half marathon on for 10 years so maybe they have all the kinks worked out. Also 7:00am start time?
Baystate: http://baystatemarathon.com/
Multiple time USATF NE championship, flat fast double loop course.
Cape Cod: http://www.capecodmarathon.com/
40th annual many time USATF NE champs.
Vermont City: https://www.vermontcitymarathon.org/
