I’m always interested in what there is to see in the morning sky. Sometimes I’ll check out what satellites might be viewable or what cool stuff might be easy to see. I hadn’t checked this morn but had heard that the meteor shower from Halley’s comet (Eta Aquariid) was almost at peak. So, as I stepped out the door I looked up. Wouldn’t you know it, I saw a satellite! Thought it might be the ISS but it turned out to be “Starlink 1227”. On the way to the trail I also had a view of the nearly full “Flower Moon” and once I was running could see Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars which have been a highlight for the last few weeks as they are basically right there when I’m looking down the trail (running from North to South). Great way to start the day!
