It was 11 degrees at the "snowshoe" race last weekend (not enough snow for snowshoes this time). I checked for the coldest snowshoe races I've ever done and found only 15 that were held in single digit temps. Typically snowshoe races don't have indoor facilities so the outside temp is a bigger factor. Although Prospect tops this list, the Greylock Glen race was much tougher with howling winds and nothing but a warm car after racing.
I'm working on an all-time coldest and hottest races and runs I've done.
