35 years ago: I logged some decent mileage during this month (378 over 29 days) but only raced twice. On 02/07/88 I took first in the “NY versus Boston” track meet at BU. I ran an evenly paced 5,000 (4:39/4:41/4:36) to beat the other TWO entrants (!!!!) in 14:29. A week later I ventured into CMS country (Worcester) and picked up another win at Henry’s Wallpaper, running 24:01 over 5 miles on a 30 degree day.
