Looking back - March 2008

 

15 years ago: I was recovering from a strained calf muscle and only raced once during this month (at the very end).

Scott Clark long-time friend (back to his days at Keene State) put on the Gilmanton 5k.  This was the 10^th annual running of the race.  This year the tough 4^th kilometer would be even tougher as the dirt road was coated with 3” of snow.  The race started amidst a snow squall.  Kevin Tilton won as 7 of the top 10 finishers were CMS runners.  I had a good battle with Scott, but he buried me on the climb and gapped me by 10 seconds at the finish.
