New PR!

This is not a personal record I had ever hoped to get....

Today was the latest date that I've ever run in the water outside. The previous "best" was Sept. 29 in 1997 when I was out for 5 months with a fractured Navicular.

1 hour in the water today plus some walking at lunch.

Added the picture above to the slideshow. Very rare shot of a singlet that was used for a short time around 1980. Flying Feet was a running store in the Worcester area who sponsored CMS. You can read about it in some of the CMS newsletters that are scanned and online at the CMS website.

Hey Dave, i liked the photo of Jim Murphy. It was taken by Betsey Roundsville, who i worked with at Frontrunner Magazine way back when. Of course, i'm still shooting at the races (northfield trail run) and trying to get back into race shape. Keep up the good work.

Pool running sucks, so if you have to do it, outdoors is the way to go. Very impressive that you're still in the water. Hope you're back on land long before the water begins to freeze over. Heal quickly!

Do you have any old Frontrunner mags? I'm working on a history of the Stu's 30Km race (30th year in 2009). I love that old stuff!

Your website is pretty cool! I'm taking a temperature reading at the pond today. There are still some hardcore swimmers in the water and even a couple without wetsuits!
