Thanksgiving races

The only days of the year I've raced on more often than Thanksgiving are New Years Day and Independence Day.  I ran my 13th Thanksgiving race today - story to follow - I've run 15 times on July 4 and 14 times on January 1.  Below are my Thanksgiving results.

11/24/88 Jordan Marsh Road Race - Boston MA 5m in 25:30 for 12th place in a field of 2400

11/26/92 Feaster five - Andover MA 4.96m in 25:32 for 3rd place in a field of 3060.  I ran this as a "tempo run" in anticipation of XC nationals two days later.  It paid off as I got 25th at Nationals.

11/25/93 Feaster five - Andover MA 4.96m in 24:17 for 5th in a field of 3167. 6000 runners combined, had to weave thru the 5k runners in the last mile.

11/23/95 Feaster five - Andover MA 4.96m in 24:08 for 2nd in a field of  3937. 8,000 entrants combined, lost on a kick to Yiannelis 24:07.  Last year the race had money $.

11/28/96 Feaster five - Andover MA 4.96m in 24:38 for 1st in a field of 3016.  Dan took 2nd in  24:48.

11/26/98 T-day RR - Ashburn VA 6.21m in 30:48 for 3rd in a field of 450. I was working in Washington DC at the time.

11/23/00 Feaster five - Andover MA 4.96m in 25:14 for 3rd in a field of 2749.

11/27/03 WCRC XC - Newburyport MA 3.1m in 17:52 for 14th in a field of 755.

11/25/04 WCRC XC - Newburyport MA 3.1m in 17:09 for 4th in a field of 644.  Ran w Beck moved thru from 10th to 4th. Bernier 1637, Pawlicki 1700, Beck 1705. 1st 40+.

11/23/06 WCRC XC - Newburyport MA 3.1m in 17:45 for 15th in a field of 884 my 53rd race of the year. 1st 40+

11/22/07 WCRC XC - Newburyport MA 3.1m in 17:29 for 14th in a field of  958.  3rd 40+

11/26/09 WCRC XC - Newburyport MA 3.1m in 17:26 for 12th in a field of 1200.  4th 40+

1996 - Dan is just taking the corner
