Worst injuries

Here are the ten worst injuries I’ve had (based on the number of days off). Collectively these ten injuries total 408 days off. That means these ten days are responsible for over 26% of all the days I’ve missed in 32 years of running.
07/02/97 – 56 days off, Right Navicular (Foot) stress fracture that became a non-union fracture (surgery)

08/31/08 – 56 days off, Stress fracture Sacrum in two locations

01/24/86 – 43 days off, torn meniscus in my right knee (surgery)

07/12/09 – 42 days off, stress fracture Tarsal/metatarsal joint in my right foot

06/01/04 – 40 days off, MRI showed partial tear of Flexor Hallus Longus (Achilles/calf)

12/21/04 – 39 days off, MRI shows torn obturator externus (hip socket)

08/22/99 – 37 days off, Left ankle tendonitis

04/05/10 – 33 days off, right Plantar Fascia

01/09/94 – 32 days off, strained back

02/10/06 – 30 days off, Stress fracture of Ilium (hip), left side
