Bridge of Flowers

I was looking over some historical stats for my “looking back” blog post and I noticed that Brian Harvey ran an excellent 31:33 at Bridge of Flowers a few days ago.  According to what I was able to dig up, his time is the 16^th fastest ever run on the course.  Perhaps more interesting, it is the fastest time by an American runner.  Back in 1996 I finished second to Houssine Siba who broke Ken Kaczenski’s course record of 31:40…so I’m pretty sure I captured all of the sub-32 times and definitely captured all of the sub-31:40 times.  Needless to say, the course is tough.  My guess has been that it runs about 1 minute slower than a flat course.
