Just got
word about my injury, fortunately it is not (yet) a stress fracture but a bone
bruise of the calcaneus and inflammation of the sub-talar joint. A bone
bruise is not good; it can
lead to a stress fracture. I'm going to
try and see how running the next couple of days goes, with the hope of being
able to do the U.S. Mountain champs (Loon July 6). If I make it that far I’d have to take three
weeks off after the championships to let the calcaneus heal. Time will tell!
