Way way way back

I was happy with my race at the Mayor’s cup last weekend but thought it would be interesting (to me at least) to look at the numbers.

147^th place was very nearly my worst place ever in a race, trailing only my ½ marathon earlier this year.  Below are all of my finishes 75^th place and beyond.  Oddly the Mayor’s cup race is the only one that isn’t either a USA championship or a New England championship.

As far as “percent of field that beat me” the Mayor’s cup tops the list with 82% of the field finishing in front of me.  I only looked at races over 100 finishers since for example a snowshoe race with 8 finishers where I finished 7^th isn’t quite the same.
