I passed 2,000 miles for the year at the end of last week. I’m happy that I’m able to run and I’m trying to enjoy every day I’m out there (even in this lousy heat and humidity). 2k miles by mid-August isn’t a total I’d usually be happy with. This is the longest it’s taken me to get to 2,000 in the last 5 years. I did miss 38 days, so my average “on days run” of 10.5 is pretty solid. Like I said I’ll take being able to get out the door and run. I probably won’t make 3,000 miles for the year as I’m planning on ending my “season” after the 5k XC nationals in October.
