I miss racing

I like to race!  Over the last 40+ years I’ve raced more than 1,400 times or an average of about once every 10 days.  Today marks the 5th longest downtime (or gap) between races.  I’m not sure when I’ll be able to race again but it has been nearly 4 months (115 days) since I ran the Baystate marathon.  I have entered some races already (did that back in December) figuring I’d be ready.  Now it is only four weeks until New Bedford and I’m not confident I’ll be able to run it, never mind race it.  Needless to say I’m not happy about being sidelined this long.
