The CARS series had some fierce
competition in the 50+ age group. Scott Clark, Ernie Brake, Darin Brown,
and Jim Angell all gave me a good fight. Scott beat me in four races (and
I got him in 3) but we always seemed to have a good battle. Ernie was
always in the mix! Darin had some injury troubles (don’t we all) but
still stuck it out. Jim beat me at NHTI and almost got me at OTR.
Anyway, after the dust settle Scott and I were only 20 seconds apart over 26+
miles of racing, or less than 1 second per mile.
Already looking forward to next year when
Jim will be joining us for the team competition.
