After compiling the coldest runs and races I’ve done, I went back and checked for the hottest. I didn’t include anything that wasn’t specific (a lot of the time I just said “90’s and humid” or something like that). I guess I did a decent job of avoiding the heat. I think that is easier to do since typically a morning run will be a lot cooler. Only 31 times at 95 degrees or more and only three of those were races. Eight times at 100 or more and one of those was a four hour race. The all-time hottest run was 109 degrees in Kansas City. I was out there for 3 weeks for work and put in weeks well over 100 miles. Typically, I ran 8-10 in the morning and 8-10 in the afternoon. Fortunately the bike path had water bubblers and I used them.
