May 9 & May 12 are two weirdly significant dates in my running. Through a quirk of fate, I have never missed running on those two days. The other 364 days I’ve missed at least once in the more than 43 years of running.
May 9 – longest run = 19 miles, shortest run =
3 miles.
May 12 – longest run = 17 miles, shortest run =
3 miles.
I’ve averaged over 9.6 miles per day since I
started running in December of 1978. I’ve got five other days I’ve only
missed once (May 8, 11, 15, and March 26 & 28). I’ve also got 10 days
that I’ve only missed twice (Feb 6 & 11, March 12, 25, & 31, and April
3, 8, 9, 16, and 21)
Most popular date to not run:
Feb 23, July 23, Oct 31, Nov 19, and Dec 30 =
10
All in
all, it seems pretty random. November has my most days off with 206 and
May has the least with 96.
