Looking back - June 1987

35 years ago – June 1987: I raced twice during this month, both in Lowell MA.  First off was the AHEPA 5 mile (06/07/87). I battled with John Clopeck for most of the race before pulling clear in the final mile.  I picked up a free trip to Hawaii for the win. Next up was Cappy’s Copper Kettle 5 mile, held under hot and humid conditions.  I ran alone from the gun and picked up $200 for the win.
