I remember the Alamo Alumni race as Kirby ran and we warmed down with Bill Rodgers and Frank Shorter. Do you have complete results?
I still fit into my blue t-shirt from the race!
That's a fast time for 7 Sisters! It's funny how fast you ran there, but had such a hard time at Escarpment. I always think they are similar courses, but I that suggest otherwise. When I think about it, the footing is pretty decent at 7 Sisters on many stretches, and the crucial factor really is hill climbing ability. You can't get away with just running fast uphill at Escarpment, and the footing is rough for most of the race. One guy smoked Greg and I on the first climb this year, but we caught him before getting down the other side.
I was so pissed at Sisters when I went off course on the way from the Summit house to the turn-around. I lost over 4 minutes. Probably one of my best trail performances. I think Escarpment is much much much worse. Both are dangerous. Only a fool would do them more than once.
I'll check into the Alamo results. I do remember the warm-down, Hodgie was with us as well.
