Trail Marathon National championship

Well, my goal was to run under 3:05 and my stretch goal was 3 flat...I was very happy with a 3:03:25.  The bonus for me was winning a gold medal in the 45-49 and even better was taking 10th in the USATF overall.  I also won a $75 gift certificate to Rogue Valley Runners for being the runner who traveled the furthest!

Splits:
Who can say how accurate these were, some seemed way off others not so much so...such are the vagaries of a trail marathon.  Great job by Hal and the RVR putting on a great event.

That picture is too much! You look like a kid who just asked his dream date to the prom and got a resounding "yes"...or maybe asked some girl at the mall to see the Cure or the Clash ...or whatever group it was. Like in "Running Brave", you do it because you love it! Keep smiling!
