I don't think it is obsessive to run at 2am in order to avoid running in a snowstorm. I think it is just smart planning. I've been a bit nervous this winter that a bad step could lead to a nasty fall that could be a major set-back to my repaired hip, so I've been smart (or trying to be smart) and avoid taking any unneeded chances.
I got my second 60+ mile week and included a couple of up-tempo runs. Just a little issue with plantar fascia otherwise so far so good. Maybe time to mix in a workout and see if I can get some leg turnover.
